The present State of the Coastal Environment and Socio-economy Report covering the entire coastal zone of Cambodia draws on the data developed through different line ministries and established monitoring programs in the coastal area. The report is intended not only to support management decisions but also offers important information to be used in education, information and communication activities.
The report is divided into chapters detailing various components of the environment and issues, e.g. forestry resources, biodiversity, solid wastes, population, etc. For each component/issue, a discussion of indicators related to the state of the environment, the pressures they are subjected to and on the responses of society to address these pressures and changes in the state are provided, followed by an overall assessment.
