This report briefly describes current state of solid waste management in Sihanoukville.  The report provides information on the volume of solid wastes produced and collected in Sihanoukville, and discusses the roles and responsibilities of the different local authorities and insitutions.  Main constraints to effective waste management are discussed, which include inter-department cooperation, an innappropriately-managed open landfill, regulations for waste producers and problems with the collection system.
